This is the shortcut that finally saved my sanity. If you are stuck right now, do this:

  • How to do it: Just open your dialer and type *137#, then hit the call button.

  • Why it’s better: Unlike *100#, this code specifically queries your active data bundles.

My Experience: A small pop-up appeared on my screen almost instantly showing my remaining MBs. It’s significantly faster than waiting for a text message. If you are in a rush, *137# is the only way to go.

2. The SMS Method (38885)

I also wanted to try the official text method to see if it was any good. If you prefer having the info in your text messages, this is how you do it:

  • How to do it: Compose a new message with the word DATA and send it to 38885.

  • The Reality Check: While it is reliable, it is not instant. I had to wait about 2-3 minutes for the reply. Also, make sure you have a decent signal, or the text won’t send.
